CASSADAGA - Veterinarians from the Western New York Veterinary Medical Association will help staff the Hall of Veterinary Health (HVH) at The Great New York State Fair in Syracuse. The HVH is one of the ways the New York State Veterinary Medical Society (NYSVMS) educates the public about veterinary medicine and animal health. Thousands of veterinarians throughout New York State are members of the NYSVMS, which is dedicated to protecting and promoting veterinary medicine.
On Sept. 3, Dr. Katie Ball of Cassadaga will be available to answer questions about veterinary medicine and explain the Hall's exhibits including a hands-on exam table, interactive computer display, DVDs, videos, and live demonstrations with all kinds of animals. HVH visitors will have an opportunity to learn how veterinarians protect the health and well-being of animals and humans by playing crucial roles in environmental protection, food safety, animal welfare and public health.
The Great New York State Fair is open from Aug. 23-Sept. 3. For more information about the HVH or to interview one of the veterinarians who will staff the exhibit, contact the NYSVMS, (800) 876-9867 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
