JAMESTOWN - On Thursday, a Jamestown man was jailed after a drive-by shooting which occurred a day earlier.
On Wednesday morning, Jamestown police were called to Chandler Street at Elk Street to investigate a drive-by shooting. Around eight shots were reported to have been fired about 10:30 a.m. and officers found shell casings from a .22-caliber firearm in the street.
Police obtained surveillance video in the area which captured a four-door SUV driving in the area, and investigators began a search for the vehicle to speak with the occupants.

On Thursday morning, police located and impounded the vehicle suspected to be used in the incident. Investigators were able to locate Jean Carlos Jiminez-Camacho, 22, of Jamestown, and allege he fired the .22-caliber pistol from the vehicle on Chandler Street. The suspect weapon was also located and secured by police.
Jiminez-Camacho was charged with reckless endangerment and was processed through the city jail awaiting arraignment.
At the time of the incident, no injured victims were known to police nor any intended victim(s).
