WESTFIELD - Five children age 1 to 9, under the care of a baby-sitter, were left unattended in the village this week.
According to village police, the 16-year-old baby-sitter has been charged with five counts of endangering the welfare of a child after the teen left the house on Washington Street and the children unattended. Police were made aware of the situation on Tuesday by a caller. Upon arrival children aged 1, 2, 5, 8 and 9 were found without any adult supervision.
The accused will be in village court at a later date.
