For the past 17 years, the Tender Care Child Care children, with owner Teresa Bunge and her staff, have put on a bake sale to help a local charity every year. Last year, around $800 was raised, one of their biggest amounts to date.
"We wanted to make this year's sale even better," Bunge said. "We all wanted to do this in memory of long time family friend Patrick K. Coughlin and to the charity he really believed in, the RO Foundation.
With help from family, friends and the community the day care, located at 170 W. Main St. in Fredonia, was able to raise $1,525.

Tender Care Child Care raised $1,525 to give to the RO Foundation.
"I'm overwhelmed by this response, yet so happy," Bunge said.
The RO Foundation, and what Joe Russo and Maggie Owen have done to assist those in need of travel to treatment centers for local patients and families, is amazing. It gives the children a good feeling to be a part of the whole bake sale and to be able to help people. They sold all kinds of bake goods made by staff, parents and friends, and also had a lemonade stand. The children worked very hard and learned lessons about generosity and goodwill. The day care is already looking forward to next year.
The RO Foundation is a fund of the Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation. For more information contact NCCF at 366-4892, www.NCCFoundation.org or www.rofoundation.com.
