The Vineyards Monday Night Ladies League - The league finished the season with a banquet at the home of Brenda Swanson with Kathleen Krauza serving as co-hostess. Prizes were given out to all of the teams. First place went to the team of Brenda Hennessey and Barb VanDette. There was a second place tie between the teams of Viki Clark/Sandy Destro and Cindy Chimera/Annita Luce. President VanDette gave an overview of some upcoming fun nights of golf and a preview of the next season. Treasurer Jeanne Pagano gave the end-of-the-year report. Brenda Hennessey gave a summary of fun facts recorded throughout the season. This league is for women of all skill levels. It is a handicap league with points awarded each week. Anyone interested in playing next season can call Brenda at 679-4915.

Gene Andolina League - Joe Bifaro and Joe Granata took over first place on the final day of league play to win the championship by a single point. Joe Greco and John Bongiovanni took second place.

Hammerhead Swim Club

The Hammerhead Swim Club is a sanctioned member of the Niagara District of USA Swimming. The 2012-2013 season will begin Sept. 17 at 6:15 p.m. at the Fredonia State University pool in Steele Hall. The club is designed to instruct youth age 6-18 in the four basic stroke techniques and condition them for competitive swimming.

Black Watch Soccer

Fall Session

The Black Watch Soccer season will be played on Sundays from Sept. 9 through Oct. 21 at Dunkirk High School. Co-ed players ages 6-9 will be from 9-10:15 a.m. and co-ed players ages 10-12 will be from 10:15-11:45 a.m. Older players may attend with permission.

The cost is $95 for the seven sessions. Each player will receive a practice jersey, shorts and socks.

To sign up, email your son or daughter's contact information along with their birthdate to Blackwatch.st@gmail.com. Checks may be made out to "Black Watch Soccer" and mailed to 223 Temple St., Fredonia, N.Y. 14063.

Youth Boxing

Northern Chautauqua County Boxing Assoc.

Dunkirk's Govanni Diaz lost a three-round split decision Friday in the 132-pound Sub-novice Division to Jonathan Smith of Albany. The event took place at the Family Life Center in Buffalo.

The Northern Chautauqua County Boxing Association will have boxers compete in Niagara Falls next weekend and in Cleveland the following weekend.
