Hammerhead Swim Club
registration
The Hammerhead Swim Club is a sanctioned member of the Niagara District of USA Swimming. The 2012-2013 season will begin Sept. 17 at 6:15 p.m. at the Fredonia State University pool in Steele Hall. The club is designed to instruct youth age 6-18 in the four basic stroke techniques and condition them for competitive swimming.

Black Watch Soccer
Fall Session
The Black Watch Soccer season will be played on Sundays from Sept. 9 through Oct. 21 at Dunkirk High School. Co-ed players ages 6-9 will be from 9-10:15 a.m. and co-ed players ages 10-12 will be from 10:15-11:45 a.m. Older players may attend with permission.
The cost is $95 for the seven sessions. Each player will receive a practice jersey, shorts and socks.
To sign up, email your son or daughter's contact information along with their birthdate to Blackwatch.st@gmail.com. Checks may be made out to "Black Watch Soccer" and mailed to 223 Temple St., Fredonia, N.Y. 14063.
Seneca Party to Host Golf Tournament
The Seneca Party will hold a golf tournament on Monday, Sept. 17, at the Double Black Diamond Golf Course, located at Holiday Valley.
A lunch will be held at 11:30 a.m., with a shotgun start to follow at 1 p.m. A dinner and an awards ceremony will be held at 5:30.

Brocton Bulldogs
JV victorious
The Brocton Bulldogs junior varsity football opened the season 2-0 with a win on their home turf?Saturday.
The Dogs have already equaled Brocton's record of the last two years with plays like Nick Putcher's pair of forced fumbles and a fumble recovery, the two rushing touchdowns of Ronald Brown and the winning touchdown of Dylin Williams.
The offense was supported by the strong defensive play of Michael Steward's 11 tackles, the 10 tackles of Jordan Krystofiak and Riley Rivera's eight tackles.
The Dogs pulled out a 20-14 win with 42 seconds left.
Adult Golf
Pair of Aces
There were two hole-in-ones on the same day, Saturday at Hillview Golf Course in Fredonia.
Graham Jamieson of Las Vegas, NV scored an ace on No. 5. The shot was with an 8 iron and was witnessed by John Hill.
Walt Koba also recorded a hole-in-one on Hillview's 5th hole using an 8 iron. The shot was witnessed by Roy Pulvino and Anthony Battaglia.
