Six charged for open container violations at Hanover Beach

HANOVER - Chautauqua County sheriff's deputies on foot patrol charged six people for open container violations on Hanover Town Beach on Sunday. Charged were: Corey S. Damba, 23, of Columbus Street, Buffalo; Meghan E. Yea, 24, of Hudson Street, Buffalo; Samantha M. Appenheiner, 24, of Stanley Street Buffalo; Adam J. Rosina, 26, of Claremont Avenue, Buffalo; Maria V. Hernandez, 39, of Plymouth Street, Buffalo; and Bryan E. Gunsell, 24, of Ingham Avenue, Lackawanna.

All were issued appearance tickets and are scheduled for the Town of Hanover Court.

NORTH HARMONY - On Saturday at about 2:10 a.m., Michael S. Brown, 42, of Ashville was charged with driving while intoxicated, have a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater and moving from lane unsafely.

Deputies observed a vehicle driven by Brown veer into a ditch on Route 394. Brown was released and is to appear in the Town of North Harmony Court at a later date.

BEMUS POINT - On Sunday at about 2:30 a.m., Sean P. Nash, 21, of Erie, Pa., was charged with driving while intoxicated, blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater, and disorderly conduct.

Sheriff's patrol observed a male urinating in public view next to his vehicle parked on Lincoln Road. The male got into his vehicle and drove away. Deputies stopped the vehicle to deal with the disorderly conduct. Following an investigation, Nash was also detained for driving while intoxicated.

Nash was released with appearance tickets for the Town of Ellery Court.

HANOVER - Shone F. Buchanan, 29, of Ohio was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated per se with a BAC of .08 or higher on Monday. Around 12:45 a.m. deputies had stopped to check on a disabled vehicle on Routes 5 and 20 in the town. Upon investigation, Buchanan was found to be intoxicated and was taken into custody. His driving privileges were also found to be suspended in New York. He was released on an appearance ticket for the Town of Hanover Court.

HANOVER - Jason R. Lux, 27, of Orchard Park was charged with driving while intoxicated, failure to keep right and driving while intoxicated per se with a BAC of .08 or higher on Monday. At 3:01 a.m. deputies stopped a vehicle on Routes 5 and 20 in the town for crossing the center line. Upon investigation, Lux was found to be intoxicated. He was released on an appearance ticket for the Town of Hanover Court.
