Twenty years ago - 1992

Thirty years ago - 1982

President Barry Snyder of the Seneca Nation presided at the ground-breaking ceremony for the new addition to the Cattaraugus County Indian Reservation Medical Center. The $300,000 addition, funded by the Seneca Nation, will double the capacity of the existing medical center building which is located on Route 438 between Gowanda and Irving.

Forty years ago - 1972

The Dunkirk Harbor Junior Sailing Program ended its summer activities with the annual Tin Can Regatta. Tying for first place were Karen Sommitz with Sally Hoag and John Lis crewing and Dale Beatty with Craig and Carl Lis as crew.

Fifty years ago - 1962

The Rev. Michael G. Giovino, pastor of St. John Bosco Church in Sheridan, will become pastor of St. John's Church in Jamestown. Succeeding him in Sheridan will be the Rev. Salvatore J. Piazza.
