Editor, OBSERVER:
In listening to the GOP's constant complaints that the president has not turned the economy around quickly enough to suit their expectations, I would like to offer the following analogy: Thieves enter your house in the dead of night to steal your wallet and credit cards, but then burn down the house to conceal their crime.
When you purchase lumber to rebuild, they come again in the dark to steal all your materials. Then the criminals ride by your lot to yell, "How come you haven't finished putting that house of yours up by now?"
The Republicans must shoulder the blame for a very hurtful recession, for openly declaring that their main objective is to defeat President Barack Obama, obstructing his attempts to pass his jobs legislation.
Then they have the gall to taunt the Democrats that they have not been able to replenish all the jobs that it took the Republicans eight years to lose by shipping them overseas.
How disgraceful is that?
