High school basketball officiating classes begin Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Room 250 at Jamestown High School. The classes cover New York state girls and boys basketball officiating rules and techniques.
The 10-week course is offered Wednesday nights for prospective officials, and is taught by International Association of Approved Basketball Officials Board 39 Interpreter Roger Mactavish. For more information, call MacTavish at 664-6339 or 502-759-5697.
The course ends with the IAABO national rules examination in November.
