STOCKTON - An elderly Stockton man has been charged with sexual abuse of two young girls.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office charged Samuel L. Hoard with two counts of first-degree criminal sexual abuse Tuesday.

It is alleged Hoard, 78, of Parcell Road, sexually abused two 8-year-old females in the evening hours of July 30 through Aug. 3.

After a joint investigation by Child Protection Services, the Sheriff's Office, the District Attorney's office and New York State Police, an arrest warrant was issued by the Town of Chautauqua Court.

Hoard was arrested at his residence without incident. He was arraigned and committed to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of $15,000 cash or $30,000 property bond.

The Child Advocacy Program of Chautauqua County assisted with this investigation.
