Ladies Society Blessed Mary Angela Parish

The Ladies Society of Blessed Mary Angela Parish met Tuesday at the social center.

President Carole Schiller opened the meeting with a Blessed Mary Angela prayer.

Minutes of the previous meeting were read by Jenny Naruszewicz and Joan Zielinski gave the treasurer report. Dorothy Sarzyniak collected the annual dues.

Due to the illness of member Susan Hall, Teresa Tilley will serve as vice president of the Ladies Society.

The next society meeting will be Tuesday, Oct. 9, at 7 p.m. and all members are urged to attend this important meeting.

Angel food cake, lemon pie, and banana nut bread were served from a table covered with a yellow cloth with a white lace overlay. The table's center piece was a crystal vase filled with fresh harvest flowers and greens.

The officers of the society served on the refreshment committee.

A raffle was held and many prizes were awarded. Sarzyniak won the autumn flowers.

Blessed Mary Angela Rosary Society

The Blessed Mary Angela Rosary Society indoor picnic was held on Monday at St. Hyacinth's Lyceum. Fifty members brought dishes to pass with meat and drinks being provided by the society.

Committee members were Martha Bialaszewski, Pat Kokocinski, Carol Schiller, Lucille Bartkowski, Loretta Szalkowski, Phyllis Mucha and Rita Cieslewicz.

Guests for the evening were the Rev. Matt Nycz, Fr. Jan Trela, Sr. Rachel, Sr. Andrew, Sr. Bronisia and Angie Anderson. After dinner, a raffle was held and bingo was played.

Joan Lasecki's name was drawn for the attendance prize.

Kokocinski reported sending a get well card to Joan Serafin and sympathy cards to Betty Kern and Lillian Polasik.

Cieslewicz gave a report on the Living Rosary to be held on Wednesday, Oct. 17, at 7 p.m. in St. Hyacinth's Church. A reception will follow at the Lyceum.

Bialaszewski thanked all the members for attending the rosaries and funerals of deceased members Genevieve Mleczko and Lettie Mierzwa.

The elections of the society's next year's officers will take place at the November meeting on Nov. 5.

October's meeting will be held on Monday, Oct. 1, at 7 p.m. in St. Hedwig's Social Center.
