Emma Steele scored four goals Wednesday, helping Falconer (3-1-1, 3-0) to a convincing 8-1 win over Dunkirk (0-5, 0-3), during CCAA Division 1 girls' soccer action at Karl Hoeppner Field.
"The girls just didn't have the same energy they had the two previous league games," Dunkirk head coach Phil Cook said. "We were trying to find the right chemistry with the right girls (Wednesday). We just gave up too many good scoring chances."
Kaylee Keith and Julia Anderson gave the Lady Golden Falcons a 2-0 lead heading into halftime while Andrea Volk scored a pair of goals in the second half.

Calan Pogorzelski scored the Lady Marauders' lone goal on an assist from Sidney Charles.
Justice Judkins, who spelled Janelle Jasinski (one save), made 12 saves in 60 minutes of work for the Lady Marauders. Jordyn Jones stopped eight saves for the Lady Golden Falcons.
"Half were legitimate scoring chances," Cook noted of his team's shots on net.
The Lady Marauders will be back in action on Friday when they travel to take on CCAA Division 1 foe Olean.
ALCS 4, Fredonia 0
ALLEGANY - Playing for the first time since a bus accident last Friday forced several players to exit the lineup due to injury, Fredonia (1-3, 0-3) fell to CCAA Division 1 girls' soccer foe Allegany-Limestone, 4-0, Wednesday.
The Lady Gators received goals from Brenna Gelen (23rd minute) and Nicole Barton (35th minute) to build a 2-0 halftime lead, before Katie Scott (13th minute) and Rachel Smith (31st minute) put the game out of reach with a pair of second-half goals.
"They were thrilled to get back on the field," Fredonia head coach Kathy Cruver said. "However, we are several key players down due to injuries. We've got several games ahead of us and we're going to keep moving forward."
Bre Dahn was peppered with 25 shots, stopping 21 of them for the Lady Hillbillies while Allison Forness made seven saves in net for the Lady Gators.
