A two car accident on Route 60 sent two to the hospital Thursday afternoon. According to the Fredonia Police Department, Paul J. Gates, 49, of Orchard Park was traveling north on Route 60 behind a vehicle driven by Robert John Kryszak, 76, of Angola at 1:22 p.m.

The vehicle driven by Kryszak was slowing in the left-most lane. Gates reportedly took his eyes off the roadway and was not able to slow down in time and attempted to swerve right to avoid a collision.
