LEON - The Leon Historical Society meeting is Monday at the historical church. Bring dish to pass for a meal at 6 p.m. and the meeting starts around 7. Members are preparing for Leon's first AQHA Trail Challenge, Sept. 29 at the Leon Highway Department. Sign up is at 7:30 a.m. with an 8:30 pre-walk meeting. There are two divisions - AQHA Division and All Breed Division. For those who pre-register today, $5 will be taken off per division.

Immediately following the challenge there will be a horsemanship clinic with clinician Luke Reinbold.
Come visit the "heart of the Amish Country" and enjoy crafts, wagon rides, Amish goods, homemade ice cream. Stop by the food tent and enjoy chili, hot dogs, hamburgers and homemade pie. There will be a special show at the church by Cal Baker and "Easter Lilly the Miniature Horse." Admission to the museum is free and donations are appreciated.
