OLEAN - The 16th annual Stamp and Postcard Show sponsored by the Olean Stamp Club will be held Oct. 6 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will be held at the B.P.O.E. Elks Club No. 491 located at 209 W. State St. in Olean.
"What's in your attic" will again be part of this year's Olepex '12. This is a chance for anyone to bring in items they have been wondering about. Free appraisals will be given on stamps, postcards and paper ephemera. This annual venue sponsored by the Olean Stamp Club will kick off the month of October.
The U.S. Postal Service designates October as Stamp Collecting Month and this is one way the club helps to promote the hobby. This is the first area show within 100 miles since late spring and is a chance to build a collection or find out about this hobby.
