Fredonia State women's tennis improved to 4-1 with a 9-0 victory Monday over D'Youville on the Steele Hall courts.

Four Blue Devils improved to 4-1 in both singles and doubles with wins Monday. They are Jess Johnston (Fredonia), Miller Barmasse, Molly Zanetti and Stephanie Thompson.

"The strength of our team is depth," Fredonia State coach Joe Calarco said. "We are able to play players for the injured starters."

The Blue Devils are back in action Tuesday when they host Pitt-Bradford at 4 p.m.

"I remembers years of going 0-12," Calarco said. "I think my best season was 5-8, and the great thing is we have no seniors in the starting lineup."
