Chautauqua Lake (3-1) is again the only area team to make the New York State Sportswriters Association football polls, coming in at No. 19 in the Class D poll.
The Thunderbirds fell 13 spots from last week's poll after their 21-0 loss to No. 1 Maple Grove (4-0).

Ryan Miller and?the Chautauqua Lake Thunderbirds are ranked No. 19 in the latest New York State Sportswriters Association football polls.
Fredonia (3-1), which fell out of the Class C poll last week after its loss to Wilson in week three, earned an honorable mention this week.
Other Chautauqua and Cattaraugus county teams earning spots in the polls include Jamestown (4-0), the No. 10 school in Class AA and Sherman/Ripley (4-0) which remained at No. 17 in the Class D poll.
Earning honorable mention were Frewsburg (3-1) and Portville (3-1). Both schools play in the Section 6 Class D league.
Orchard Park (4-0), which holds the second longest winning streak (17), remained No. 1 in the Class AA poll and was followed by Section 5's Rush-Henrietta (4-0) and Aquinas (4-0). Section 8's Oceanside (3-0) is No. 4 while Sachem North (3-0) of Section 11 is No. 5.
St. Joe's (4-0) and Canisius (4-0) which play in the Monsignor Martin Association, are ranked eighth and 21st, respectively. Neither school is eligible to play in the New York State Public High School Athletic Association's playoffs.
The top five in the Class A poll remained the same as Lawrence (4-0, Section 8), Harrison (3-0, Section 1), Sweet Home (4-0), Sayeville (3-0, Section 11) and Victor (4-0, Section 5) all won last weekend.
West Seneca East (4-0) remained at No. 12 in the Class A poll while Grand Island (4-0) remained at No. 21.
In Class B, Maine-Endwell (4-0), of Section 4, remained No. 1 and was followed by Alden (4-0), Chittenango 4-0, Section 3), Depew (4-0), and Geneva (4-0, Section 5).
Cheektowaga (4-0), which will face Dunkirk (2-2) this weekend, is No. 13 while Pioneer (4-0) is No. 16.
Earning honorable mention in Class B were Buffalo Burgard (3-1), Eden (4-0) and Lewiston-Porter (3-1).

Hornell (4-0, Section 5) remained on top in the Class C poll and was followed by Section 1's Dobbs Ferry (3-0), Hoosick Falls (4-0, Section 2), Waverly (4-0, Section 4) and Le Roy (4-0, Section 5). Cleveland Hill (4-0), which will be in Fredonia Friday night, is ranked No. 7.
Maple Grove (4-0), is again the No. 1 team in the Class D poll and is followed by Tuckahoe (3-0), Tioga (3-1, Section 4), Caledonia-Mumford (4-0, Section 5) and Weedsport (4-0, Section 3).
