AARP offers free course to veterans

September 28, 2012
The OBSERVER

AARP greatly appreciates the dedication and service of the men and women who have served our country both in war and peace. For that very reason, it is offering a free driver's safety classroom course to all military veterans and their dependents during the month of November. This offer is available to all military personnel who serve or have served in the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, National Guard/Reserves or Coast Guard. Dependents (including spouses/domestic partners, widows/widowers and children) are also eligible to take advantage of the promotion.

A class will be offered at the Fredonia Masonic Center, 321 E. Main St., Fredonia, on Nov. 7 and Nov. 9, noon to 3 p.m. Attendance on both days is required.

All participants are required to fill out a coupon which includes name, address, branch of military service, and years of military service. Participants redeeming the Veterans Promotion will not be asked to provide any form of military identifications. Participants may print the coupon off the Veterans Promotion website at www.aarp.org/veterans or obtain a coupon from the instructor the first day of the class.

Pre-registration is required as space and class size is limited. Call Shirley at 679-4530 to reserve a space.

Those who are not affiliated with a veteran may take the class for $17 if they are an AARP member and $19 for non-members.
