Foster parent information meeting set
The Chautauqua County Department of Social Services will be hosting an informational meeting on Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Jamestown Community College Training Center North Campus, Bennett Road, Dunkirk for those interested in learning more about becoming a foster parent. Foster parents are needed for children of all ages and those willing to accept sibling groups. For more information, call 661-8212.
BOCES to offer refrigeration/air conditioning classes
The Erie 2-Chautauqua-Cattaraugus BOCES Adult & Community Education Division will offer evening classes in the area of refrigeration/air conditioning at the E2CCB Carrier Educational Center in Angola.
The 30-hour Refrigera-tion/Air Conditioning Level 1 introductory course will take place at the Carrier Center on Tuesdays from 6 to 9 p.m. beginning Oct. 16. Students will learn the basics about refrigeration systems as well as the tools and service procedures used by refrigeration mechanics. The registration fee for the class is $350.
The Carrier Center is located at 8685 Erie Road in Angola.
