OTTO - Maria E. Johnson, 79, of Dake Hill Road, passed away Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012 at her home.
She was born December 9, 1932 in Gowanda, NY the daughter of the late Howard and Bernice (Strickland) Taft.
Mrs. Johnson is married to Richard Johnson who survives.
She was a member of the Jehovah Witnesses in Springville, NY.
Besides her husband, she is survived by three sons, Douglas (Betty) Johnson of Cattaraugus, NY, Brian Johnson of East Otto, NY and Charles (Kammie) Johnson of Perrysburg, NY; three daughters, Joanne Johnson of Napoli, NY, Brenda Johnson of Cattaraugus, NY and Bonnie (Charles) Fanning of Springville, NY; 11 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; a sister, Linda (Floyd) Lamb of Gowanda, NY; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a sister Cecil Johnston.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Mentley Funeral Home Inc., 411 Rock City St., Little Valley.
