Dorothy (Case) Gugino, 91, of Fredonia, NY, died peacefully Thursday, September 27, 2012, at The Chautauqua County Home with her devoted grandson,

Travis, by her side. Dorothy was born February 2, 1921 in Dunkirk, NY, the daughter of the late Fred and Sarah (Whittier) Case. She graduated from Fredonia High School and later worked at Kresge's and the Credit Bureau. Dorothy was a homemaker for most of her life, devoting herself to family and

friends. Her joy came from making others happy and that included her magic in the kitchen. Nothing pleased her more than to bake her famous chocolate chip or sugar cookies for her children, grandchildren and all their friends. Dorothy was famous to three generations for those cookies. grown, Dorothy found she could best do her Lord's work in the role of a personal care-giver. Many families were grateful Dorothy took care of their loved

ones because she cared for them as if they were her own. Dorothy will be greatly missed by surviving sons Robert (Vicki) Lowers of Jackson, MS, and Alan

Gugino of Rochester, NY, daughter, LuAnn Saden of Fredonia, grandchildren Zachary and Christian Saden, Elijah (Katie) and Travis (Stephanie) Franklin, Roxanne Alaimo, Eric and Ryan (Kelly) Gugino, Sarah (Zach) Miller, Laura (Matt) Ault, seven great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and she will especially be missed by Duke, Saden-family dog. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred, daughter, Roberta Alaimo, sisters Charlotte Roberts and Gertrude Klocek, and brother Edwin Case.
