It is once again time for the Fredonia Boy Scout Troop and Cub Scout Pack 267 to host the annual Trails End Popcorn fund raiser.
This year the popcorn is healthier and better tasting than it already was. Buyers can order from an area scout, or obtain information on how to order online so see your local scout this October.
Also available this year patrons can send popcorn to our troops overseas. Monetary donations can be made so even if you don't like popcorn, you can give to our troops. This was a popular item last year and the men and women defending our country enjoyed the extra treat.
The best news is that 70 percent of your order directly funds your local troops activities. That means you get some great tasting popcorn and you supported the camping and adventures of local boys in your town.
Troop and Pack 267 BSA is hosted by The Fredonia American Legion Post 59. The troop is growing to more than 20 members of ages 11 to 18.
The Boy Scouts of America is open to any boy who is 11 years old or above and/or has graduated the fifth grade. The organization promotes fun outdoor activities through camping and other adventure based activities, such as canoeing, mountain climbing, hiking.
They also teach leadership, citizenship, and respect for the community, and environment. This is the perfect club for your son. Children under age 11 can join the Cub Scout Pack 267. The younger kids program follows all the same fun-filled adventures.
Activities are scaled back though to meet the needs of a younger membership. Information can be obtained by visiting a meeting on Monday nights between 7 and 8 p.m.
