The NCCS Monarchs (5-3) battled back with three runs during the final inning of the nightcap game for a walk-off win and earn a split of a doubleheader with St. Bernadette.

For the day, Bryan Dempsey was a perfect 4 for 4 with four runs scored while Jack Gaken collected two hits. Dan Barnes, Gaken, Charlie Roth and Dempsey all pitched in the games, with Dempsey getting the victory in game two.

The Purple and Gold are still in contention for a playoff berth with remaining game dates yet to be determined.
