Zeddie Williams had a solid day on the ground for the Black Knights with 152 yards on 28 touches, including a 1-yard score in the third quarter.

"We didn't do a lot differently," Silver Creek Sean Helmer said of the second half "We had a couple linemen step in because of injury and we kept chugging away. Zeddie has the ability to run through and around people. It was a great team effort. I'm proud of our kids. Our kids fought back tonight."

Sherman Williams scored three times on runs of 1-yard, 1-yard and 2-yards. Silver Creek quarterback Nick Iskra hooked up with Tyler Baines for a 25-yard touchdown pass.

Defensively, the Black Knights were able to hold Frewsburg to just an unofficial 20 yards of rushing.

"Our goal was to shut down the run game," Helmer said. "Our kids played great defensively."

Silver Creek returns to action next Friday when it hosts Chautauqua Lake. A win would give the Black Knights a strong possibility to host a first-round playoff game.
