Training offered
The Cassadaga Valley Central School invites parents and community members from the district to participate in the Olweus Bully Prevention Training on Oct. 9 and Oct. 11 from 6-8 p.m. on both days. A participant is required to attend both days to complete the training.
The sessions will be held in the middle/high school multipurpose room. Contract Rich Siegel or Heather Nocero at (716) 962-8581 to confirm attendance or get further information.
Cassadaga hydrants will be flushed on Oct. 8
Street Supervisor Thomas Fetter has announced the hydrants in the village will be flushed on Monday Oct. 8, beginning at 7 a.m. Water customers may notice roily water. He explained that the process is meant to freshen the water.
Forestville Fall Festival announcements
The Forestville Fall committee is pleased to announce there will be bounce houses at the festival site at the Forestville High School on Academy Street.
The festival will be held weekend from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. In addition there will be cash prizes to the two best entrants in the parade on Sunday. Anyone interested is encouraged to place a float, classic car, classic tractor, or anything else fun and interesting. For details on the parade call Mike campaign at 410-6121. Or just show up at the Forestville Legion Sunday by 12:30.
City Hall closed Monday
Dunkirk City Hall will be closed on Monday, Oct. 8 in observance of Columbus Day. There will also be no zero-sort recycling pickup on Monday, Oct. 8
