Milton C. "Lefty" Griewisch, 98, of Silver Creek passed away Thursday, October 4, 2012 at the TLC Lake Shore Nursing Home, Irving, NY. He was born June 6,
1914 in Silver Creek, to the late Henry and Amelia (Schultz) Griewisch. A lifelong area resident who retired as an engineer from the South Buffalo
Railroad with 30 years of service. When Lefty was a young man, he participated in many sports, football, baseball, tennis, bowling, golf and horseshoes. He enjoyed golfing, belonged to the Tri-County Country Club, he golfed until the age of 87. Lefty also played on a bowling team at Lakeview Lanes until the age 88.

He was an active and lifelong member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Silver Creek. He taught Bible School and was an elder. Lefty's other
memberships included the Silver Creek Seniors and the Sheridan Happy Seniors. Survivors include his daughter-in-law, Janis (Ratzel) Griewisch of
Silver Creek; four grandchildren, Erick T. (Cindy) Griewisch, Lisa A. Griewisch and Sheryl Wolins; eight great grandchildren, Ericka, Aaron, Jessica, Dakota, Andrew, Stephanie, Samantha and Sabrina; a great great granddaughter, Layla; a sister-in-law, Bernice Griewisch of Tennessee and many great neighbors
and friends. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Dorothy (Wescott) Griewisch; a son, Thomas Griewisch; and his brother,
Wilbur Griewisch. Friends are welcome to call at the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel, 160 Central Ave., Silver Creek today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 15 Porter Ave., Silver Creek on Monday, October 8, 2012 at 11 a.m. Everyone please meet at the
church. Vicar Kenneth Zitsch will officiate. Interment will be at the Glenwood Cemetery. Memorials in Lefty's memory may be made to the Trinity
