PERRYSBURG - Helen R. Boyd, 96, formerly of Perrysburg, NY passed away Friday, Oct. 5, 2012 in Buffalo, NY. She was born Oct. 24, 1915 in Napoli, NY the
daughter of the late Charles and E. Marguerite (Hall) Rhoades. Mrs. Boyd was married to Frederick Boyd Jr. who predeceased her on Sept. 18, 1986.
She was a member of the St. Mary's Episcopal Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by a son, Stephen Boyd of Perrysburg, NY; two daughters, Rev. F. Sue Ellis of Angola, NY and Deborah (Robert) Thomson of Gowanda, NY; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and several
nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by two brothers, C. Richard Rhoades and Robert S. Rhoades. Graveside services at
Cherry Creek Cemetery will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Mentley Funeral Home Inc., 105 East Main St., Gowanda.
