Juanita E. Sprague

Juanita E. Sprague, 91, of Falconer, formerly of Shumla Rd., Fredonia, died Monday October 8, 2012 at WCA Hospital.

Born February 2, 1921 in Wilcox, PA daughter of the late Don and Minerva

Trimble Sonney. A 1938 graduate of Wesleyville High School, Wesleyville, PA she also was a graduate of Erie Infants Hospital and Ora-Jean Beauty School of Erie, PA. She has been a Chautauqua County resident since 1946.

Juanita was employed at G.E. of Erie, PA during WWII and then Neota Beauty Shop at the D&F Plaza and Charm Shop of Jamestown.

Since 1962 a member of Cassadaga Memorial American Legion Post 1280 Auxiliary also a member of Cassadaga Stockton Lily Dale Senior Citizens, member and past Matron of Sylvia Chapter Order of the Eastern Star.

She enjoyed traveling and cruises and had been throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands and also enjoyed reading.

Dedicated grandparents, Juanita and her late husband were avid fans of their

grandchildren's activities and rarely missed a game or performance and were extremely proud of their achievements.

Wife of 59 years to the late Maurice J. "Dutch" Sprague who she married

August 9, 1943 and died August 5, 2002; mother of Barbara (Leon) Beightol of

Falconer, Susan (John) Straight of Cassadaga and the late Robert M. Sprague (Jan. 22, 2006); grandmother of Nathan Sprague, Mark and Troy Beightol, Jennifer Swanson, Leslie Mathis, Lindsay Porter and Natalie McGuire; great-grandmother of 8; sister of Gene (Rose) Sonney of Gerrard, PA, Dale (Betty) Sonney of Erie, PA,

Dennis (Barbara) Sonney of Bowling Green, KY, John (Diane) Sonney of Virginia

Beach, VA and the late Robert, Ralph, James and

Paul Sonney. Also survived by nieces and nephews.

Funeral service at 11 a.m. Friday in Jordan Funeral Home, Sinclairville. Visitation 4-7 p.m. Thursday.

Burial in Cassadaga Cemetery.Memorials to Cassadaga Memorial American Legion Post 1280.
