Angola Public Library plans fall harvest dinner

October 11, 2012
The OBSERVER

ANGOLA - The Angola Public Library is sponsoring its popular fall harvest dinner on Saturday, Nov. 3, at the Evans Center Fire Hall on Route 5 in the Town of Evans.

Festivities begin at 6 p.m. with a cash bar.

The menu will feature a traditional turkey dinner with desserts being provided by Evans Book Club ladies.

Dinner music will be provided by the Saxtette of the New Horizons Band of Western New York. Members include locals John Vona and Frank Needham; Mike Dunn of Jamestown, Jim Holton of Cassadaga and Charlie Borzillire of Silver Creek.

There will be a silent auction featuring traditional baskets and the raffle of a handmade throw.

The Angola Public Library serves a diverse population from the communities of Brant and Farnham, as well as the Town of Evans. In addition to the traditional shelved books, it offers computer access to the internet and children's programs on a regular basis.

The library is in the midst of construction of an addition that will allow the expansion of services to the community. It will allow programs for children and adults to be held during hours that the library is open. At present groups can use the building only after hours.

Tickets can be purchased at the library or from board members. Tickets are $17 prior to the event and $20 at the door.
