LAKEWOOD - Unbeaten Rachel Mole of Frewsburg, May Li of Southwestern, Baylee Tarnowski of Fredonia and Caroline Becker of Falconer were the singles winners in the Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Tennis Championships on Wednesday at the Lakewood Family YMCA.
Mole defeated Morgan Johnson of Southwestern, 6-0, 6-0; and Heidi Mueller of Southwestern, 6-1, 6-0, to reach the semifinals that are scheduled for Friday at noon.
Also, Li prevailed over Rose Marie Mole of Frewsburg, 6-0, 6-1, and Samantha Robbins of Chautauqua Lake, 6-0, 6-0.

Chautauqua Lake’s Samantha Robbins returns a shot during the Chautauqua County Girls’ Tennis Championships, held Wednesday at the Lakewood YMCA.
Tarnowski beat Emily Hair of Frewsburg, 6-2, 6-0, and Chloe Knapp of Jamestown, 6-3, 6-3, while Becker stopped Megan Koniak of Salamanca, 6-2, 6-1, and Georgianna Gens of Fredonia, 7-6 (7-3 tie-breaker), 2-6, 6-4.
The finals will also be held at Friday.
Doubles begin today at 11 a.m. The top-seeded team is Morgan Johnson and Mueller from Southwestern and No. 2 are Gens and Lauren Millson from Fredonia. Allison Munella and Emma Black from Falconer are No. 3 and Corinne Cardinale and Morgan Lehman from Maple Grove No. 4.
