WESTFIELD - After scoring the opening goal, the Westfield girls' soccer team fell victim to seven straight goals by the Fredonia Lady Hillbillies in a CCAA Division 1 matchup Friday.
Six minutes into the game, Kayla Bentham scored an unassisted goal to give the Lady Wolverines the 1-0 lead.
However, Morgan Genovese answered back with her first of three goals just two minutes later.
From there, Zoya Katta netted a goal on the assist from Alex Zentz while Tiona Pittman also scored with Emily MacKinnon getting credit with the helper on the corner kick.
The Lady Hillbillies led 3-1 at halftime and continued their offensive attack with a big second half.
"The girls played a great game," Fredonia coach Cathy Cruver said. "They really picked up the passing game and did a real nice job."
Two minutes into the second half, Ally Gullo netted Fredonia's fourth goal of the game with Genovese picking up the assist.
Genovese then scored two straight with Emily Valvo and Zentz picking up the assists, respectively.
Fredonia finished the scoring off with a goal from Devin Kowalewki and Nicole Woleben assisting on the play.
Olean 5, Dunkirk 2
The Olean Lady Huskies (7-5-2) were able to score three goals in the second half to take down the Dunkirk Lady Marauders (0-13) for a 5-2 victory in CCAA Division 1 girls' high school soccer.
Aleeya Clemons got the scoring started for Olean at the 37:58 mark, before Dunkirk tied it up just three minutes later.
Scoring the tying goal was Amanda Michalski who was able to score on a direct kick.
The Lady Huskies added another goal before halftime to take the 2-1 lead.
Olean added two more goals early in the second half.
Kayla Henning and Kaitlyn McKeown both added goals within the first five minutes to put the Lady Huskies up 4-1.
With 6:50 left in the game, Michalski scored her second goal for the Lady Marauders which was also on a direct kick, but Olean had built too much of a lead for Dunkirk to overcome.
McKeown added her second goal just minutes later to cap off the 5-2 victory.
Dunkirk's Janelle Jasinski made 11 stops in net while Olean's Maddy Stavish made four in the victory.
