Richard H. Gee, 58, of Fredonia passed away Friday night (October 12, 2012) at home, following a brief illness. Richard was surrounded by family and
his loving companion, Diane Chase. He was born October 28, 1953 in Fairbanks, Alaska, son of Etta (LaPolt) Gee of Dunkirk and the Late Horace F. Gee.
A lifelong resident of the area, Richard graduated from Dunkirk High School and also completed courses in carpentry through the BOCES program. He had

been employed at Dunkirk Radiator and also Pomfret Home Improvement before his retirement. Richard had a passion for collecting everything, with
a special interest in oil lamps and doing small repair work for family and friends. He also enjoyed playing video games on the computer, listening to
music and the companionship of his beloved pets, Patches and Oliver. Besides his mother, he is survived by three children, Christopher Gee of Chicago, Il., Jason and Kathy (Dow) Gee of Dunkirk, and Amber Gee of Busti; two grandchildren, Sarah and David Gee; Loving Companion Diane Chase; Siblings Donald and Rose (Richmond) Gee of Dunkirk, Regina Morgan of Harpers Ferry, W.V., Andrew and Janice (Barrus) Gee of Fredonia, Paul and Theresa (Centner) Gee of Dunkirk, Gary Gee of Charles Town, W.V., Michael Gee of Dunkirk, and Jeffrey Gee of Cheektowaga; as well as nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and to 9 p.m. at the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home. A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family.
