Start shopping early at Christmas craft bazaar
FINDLEY LAKE - The Christmas craft bazaar will be held at the Findley Lake Fire Hall on Main Street on Saturday, Nov. 3, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. A variety of crafters and bakers will be there selling their handmade items. The kitchen committee will serve a variety of homemade lunch items and pie throughout the day.
Participating crafters have donated items for a Chinese auction. There will also be a 50/50 raffle and door prize drawings. Admission is free.
This event is sponsored by the Alexander Findley Library, who will also receive the proceeds.
Fall craft show set for Sunday
The Brocton-Portland Community Festival will be hosting its fall craft show on Sunday at Wood's Repair at The Arch in Brocton from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The festival will be featuring $10 chicken/rib barbecue from BW's from noon until sold out. All proceeds to benefit Brocton and Portland Fire Departments. Children's (ages 4-9) pumpkin painting contest and children's (10-14) pumpkin carving contest; pumpkins will be provided. The fall craft show includes handmade jewelry, candles, wood working, old fashioned hard candy and much more.
The Community Festival Committee works for and supports Brocton/Portland all through the year. Come help support the fire departments during this fall craft show and look for us throughout the year and area. It will be held rain or shine. Call Stephanie for more show information at 785-3183.
