Chorale to present annual concert
The Chautauqua Children's Chorale announces its annual "Together Again" concert with the Amherst BelCanto Vivace Choir, Sunday at 4 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church located at 25 Church St., Fredonia. This concert is free and open to the public.
The Chautauqua Children's Chorale, an ensemble in residence at the SUNY Fredonia School of Music, was formed in 1988 by Nancy A. Krestic and Dr. Donald P. Lang. Now under the Director Marjorie Bohn, the group continues with the mission to promote excellence in singing and musical growth, and to give a different dimension to the choral experience for children. Community members asked to donate food Saturday
CASSADAGA - The American Legion Auxiliary with the help of the Cub Scouts of P-219 will be collecting food for the Cassadaga Food Pantry on Saturday. Members will start collections at 9 a.m. Leave donations on the front porch before that time if possible. The is the group's Make A Difference Day collection.
Auxiliary Unit 62 plans Swiss steak dinner
A swiss steak dinner at Dunkirk American Legion Memorial Post 62, 211 Central Ave., will be held on Saturday, Nov. 3, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Pre-sale tickets are available at the Legion at $8, or $10 at the door. Dinner includes Swiss steak, mashed potato, vegetable, tossed salad and dessert. The event is sponsored by the Unit 62 Ladies Auxiliary.
