Seventh grader Riley Drummond set a Dunkirk High School record Thursday, but it was not enough as Chautauqua Lake swam past Silver Creek-Dunkirk, 105-78, in girls' high school swim action.
Drummond took first place in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:08.79. The previous record had been held since 2000 when Erin Bogardus swam a 1:09. Drummond also won the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:36.49.

Anna Hartiner was also a double winner for Silver Creek-Dunkirk as she won the 200 freestyle and the 100 butterfly with times of 2:17.44 and 1:10.19, respectively.
For the Lady Thunderbirds, Sofia Rubin won the 50 freestyle with a time of :27.68 and she also touched the wall first in the 100 freestyle with a time of 1:01.75.
Springville 67, Fredonia 35
SPRINGVILLE - Fredonia was able to earn a few first-place finishes, but still fell to Springville, 67-35, Thursday in CCAA Division 1 swimming.
Fredonia's Mikayla Reynolds took first in the 50 yard backstroke with a time of :28.99. Teammate Lindsey Lovern (:30.4) took third in the event.
Katie Webster (1:12.93) edged out Reynolds (1:13.77) in the 100 yard backstroke as the pair of Lady Hillbillies finished 1-2 in the event, respectively.
Fredonia's final first-place finish was in the 400 yard freestyle relay. The team of Lovern, Webster, Reynolds and Haley Zebraski finished in 4:39.3 - less than a half-second faster than Springville's team.
