Steven M. Jewell, 55, of Dunkirk died unexpectedly Sunday afternoon (October 21, 2012) in Dunkirk.
He was born October 4, 1957 in Jamestown, the son of Kay (Griffin) Jewell of Fredonia and the late Leland A. Jewell Jr.
A lifelong resident of the area, Steven enjoyed music and playing the guitar.

Besides his mother, he is survived by one brother, Mark (Renee) Jewell of Rochester; one sister, Kimberlee (John) Jewell of West Seneca; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorial services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home. The Rev. Raymond Daugerty will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 1-2 p.m., one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the S.P.C.A.
