BROCTON - Westfield's Maddison Mathews spoiled Brocton's Senior Day with five kills and two assists as the Lady Wolverines downed the Lady Bulldogs, 18-25, 19-25, 25-23, 25-21, 25-9, Tuesday in non-league girls' high school volleyball action.
Jamie Thompson added seven aces while Hillary Nelson finished with three kills, two blocks and five aces.
The Lady Bulldogs were led by Kyoko Inagaki's five aces, two kills and five digs. Kelly Miller charted four aces, six assists, two blocks and as many kills in a losing effort.
Brocton's seniors include Miller, Inagaki, Paige Odebralski, Allison Wahl, Nicole Dettelis and Kayde Putcher and Bri Harriger.
"They were a fun group," Brocton coach Andy Deakin said. "We had a good season. They improved quite a bit over the year."

JAMESTOWN - Kara Schutte's seven aces, 17 assists, four kills and 11 digs lifted the Southwestern Lady Trojans to a 25-23, 25-17, 25-17 victory over Cassadaga Valley on Tuesday in non-league action.
Taylor Brecht added four aces, six kills and seven digs for the winners.
The Lady Cougars were led by Shawana Miller's nine kills and one block. Kylee Braymiller charted an ace and three kills and Maya Sischo finished with an ace and 14 assists.
