We hear the continuous mantra about President Barack Obama hurting small business. In fact, during his term as president there have been 17 small business tax breaks, including the following: health care tax credit, tax credit for hiring new employees, bonus depreciation tax incentives to support new investment, 75 percent exclusion of small business capital gains, five-year carry-back of net losses, zero capital gains tax on key investments, a new deduction for health-care expenses for the self-employed and an increase in the deduction for entrepreneurs' start-up expenses.
This, "Obama is bad for small business," rant is just one example of how the Republicans continue to spew out false and misleading statements to discredit the current administration. Why? Because they want to remain in power to help big business, not small business.
Let's list some other lies, which can be checked with the fact-check websites. Obama is a Muslim. He's out to colonize America. He wasn't born in the U.S. His college education was paid for by secret donors. He and his wife hate America. Obama's grandmother says that he was born in Kenya. He ignored U.S. soldiers during a visit to Afghanistan. He pals around with terrorists. Let's not forget the death panels! The list goes on and on. This is how the Republicans seek to regain their power completely: by repeating lies enough times that enough people believe the rantings.
