Three bands and a $2,000 costume grand prize will launch the first annual Variety Club Halloween fund raiser for Buffalo's Womens and Children's Hospital on Saturday at the Chautauqua County Fair-grounds.
"It's going to be Chautauqua County's largest Halloween party and it's all for a great cause," explained Paul Cambria, the event organizer.
"We've been trying to expand the fund raiser from Buffalo for a year or two and now all the pieces are in place," Cambria said.
"Last Saturday we had record attendance at our original Halloween fund raiser in Buffalo's Connecticut St. Armory. And, we're looking for a great turn out in Dunkirk too," he said.
WEDG-FM radio personalities Shredd and Ragan will be hosting the event with live music from the '80s Hair Band, Johnny Smoke and Stealin' when the doors open at 6 p.m. and continue until 1 a.m.
The event features a complete bar, favorite foods from a local restaurant and ample security. Party goers must be 18 or older.
Tickets are available now for $20 from the Paper Factory, Ticketmaster or Variety at 854 7577, or, $25 at the door.
"All money goes directly to the Variety club," Cambria noted.
