Southwestern dominates FHS in D-1 girls’ swimming

Southwestern had eight different athletes win individual events as the Lady Trojans came into Fredonia and downed the Lady Hillbillies, 144-40, Saturday in CCAA Division 1 girls' swimming.

Shelby Lunz was the lone double winner with her wins in the 50-yard freestyle (:26.88) and 100 breaststroke (1:15.26).

Other winners for Southwestern were Kelsey Powers (200 freestyle; 2:10.78), Xiane Smith (200 IM; 2:27.75), Veronica Schuver (1 meter diving; 207.75), Sydney Thomas (100 butterfly; 1:06.16), Sarah Porter (100 freestyle; 1:05.52), Anna O'Brien (500 freestyle; 5:59.49) and Kelly Stevens (100 backstroke; 1:11.45).

Southwestern won all three relay events.

For Fredonia, Katie Webster had a pair of third-place finishes in the 50 yard freestyle (:28.38) and the 100 yard butterfly (1:11.94).
