The Northern Chautau-qua Community Foundation has announced the deadline for its Environmental Fund Program. The deadline for applications is Jan. 10.
The Environmental Fund, which gave its first awards in 1999, annually awards grants to fund a broad range of environmentally related educational activities, including awareness building events, hands-on educational experiences and stipends for internships and lectures.
The fund accepts applications and awards grants to organizations from all over northern Chautauqua Coun-ty. Priority is given to projects relating to Lake Erie and its watershed.

The NCCF was incorporated in 1986 as a tax-exempt charitable organization. Since its establishment, it has distributed over $8.3 million into the community through various grant programs. It is an organization committed to furthering its mission to enrich the northern Chautauqua community and encourage local philanthropy.
