Barbara D. (Rucinski) Domst of Hudson, Fla., formerly of Dunkirk, NY died Oct. 24, 2012 in Hudson after a brief illness.
Born in Dunkirk, NY on June 13, 1937 to the late Victoria (Gula) and Michael Rucinski.
Mrs. Domst was a 1954 graduate of Dunkirk High School and a 1971 graduate of Indiana State University where she was supervisor of physical education for the Vigo County Schools Corp. until her retirement in 1997.
She was an avid golfer and won the Indiana State Senior Women's Tournament in 1992 and the United States Senior Olympics in 1993. She also enjoyed fishing and playing blackjack.
Survivors include her best friend and golfing partner of 47 years, Edie Godleski; several aunts and uncles; and many cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas A. Domst, who died May 5, 1967.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be held Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. in Blessed Mary Angela R.C. Parish - St. Hyacinth's Church. Private interment will be in St. Hyacinth's Cemetery. There will be no prior visitation. Arrangements are by Michels and Lundquist Funeral Home, New Port Richey, Fla.
