Transfer agreements updated

November 10, 2012
The OBSERVER

JAMESTOWN - Transfer articulation agreements for several bachelor's degree programs have been updated by Jamestown Community College and Daemen College.

The agreements specify conditions under which JCC graduates are guaranteed acceptance, with junior standing and the opportunity to complete the bachelor's degree in four semesters, to Daemen's programs in accounting, paralegal studies, and natural science: health care specialization.

JCC and Daemen have also updated agreements in business administration, health care studies, nursing and physical therapy. JCC students who are accepted under the terms of the physical therapy dual admission agreement and maintain required academic standards are guaranteed the opportunity to complete the Doctor of Physical Therapy degree with two years at JCC followed by four years at Daemen.

Students may be able to transfer more than 60 JCC credit hours toward meeting requirements for some bachelor's degrees.

Located in Amherst, Daemen is a four-year private liberal arts college offering certificate, bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees.

An overview of the agreement is available at www.sunyjcc.edu/transfer/agreements.
