SUNY Fredonia students chip in at Boys & Girls Club event

November 10, 2012
Special to the OBSERVER , The OBSERVER

More than 100 youths and their families recently enjoyed a day at the Boys & Girls Club of Northern Chautauqua County playing games, face painting, carnival games, picnic lunches, sporting activities and just plain having fun with their families and friends.

Boys & Girls Clubs of America has established Boys & Girls Clubs Day for Kids as a day dedicated to children to foster stronger relationships between adults and children by educating them on the importance and value of spending meaningful time together.

The Boys and Girls Club of NCC would like to thank all of the volunteers and community partners who helped make the event such a great success including: Joyce Smith, coordinator for Volunteer & Community Service at SUNY Fredonia; Carmelito DeLeon, service chair for Delta Chi; the Dunkirk Police Department; Dunkirk Free Library and 19 other Delta Chi students volunteers.
