Church to host blood drive Monday
Harvest Chapel, 39 Matteson St. in Fredonia, will be hosting a life-saving blood drive on Monday from 1 to 6 p.m. Harvest Chapel along with Community Blood Bank is asking eligible donors to stop by and donate. With the holidays fast approaching, the church wants to make sure there is an adequate supply available for patients at Brooks Memorial Hospital. Community Blood Bank is the only supplier of blood to Brooks Memorial Hospital.
Chicken parmesan dinner set
Blessed Mary Angela Parish will hold a chicken parmesan dinner on Wednesday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at their Social Center on Townsend Street in Dunkirk. The meal will include a beverage and dessert. Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for children. Both eat-in and take-out dinners are available. Call 366-2307 for tickets or more information.
Laona church plans harvest breakfast
LAONA - The Laona United Methodist Church will be having a harvest breakfast on Nov. 17 from 8 to 11 a.m. The menu includes quiche, breakfast pizza, fruit, muffins, coffee, tea and juice. There will be pies, breads and other items available for purchase. All community members are welcome. Donations will be accepted, and will go toward needs within the church.
