Jeremy M. Long

Jeremy M. "J" Long, 22, of Silver Creek died Thursday morning (Nov. 8, 2012) from injuries sustained in an automobile accident at the intersection of Routes 5 and 20 near Silver Creek.

He was born Nov. 29, 1989 in Dunkirk, the son of Debbie (Wayne) Oyer of Sheridan and Timothy (Marjorie) Mourer of Florida.

A lifelong resident of the area, Jeremy was a 2008 graduate of Silver Creek High School, where he participated in football and wrestling. He was an avid Miami Dolphins fan.

He had been employed as a cook at Aunt Millie's Family Restaurant and Bakery in Irving.

Besides his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Amanda (Shane) Zahm of Fredonia and Julie (Tim) Skinner of Wattsburg, Pa.; three brothers, Alec Brown of Fredonia, Tristan Mourer of Florida and Dylan Oyer of Dunkirk; two aunts and one uncle, John and Phoebe Long of Fredonia and Laura Markham of Ohio; grandparents Diane Chase and Nancy and Warren Mosier, all of Fredonia; two nieces, Ava and Zoey Zahm; and one nephew, C.J. Quiles. Several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert Long and great-grandmother Louise "Busia" Matuszak.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home. The Rev. Molly T. Golando will officiate. Calling hours will be held Sun-day from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
