Mary Elizabeth Burkey died Thursday evening, Nov. 8, 2012 at Hamot Medical Center, Erie, Pa. after a short illness. Born June 27, 1947 in Buffalo, New York, the
daughter of the late Elizabeth and Harold Kennedy. She worked for Better Best Foods of Northeast, Pa. as a baker for the past 30 years. Survived by her husband
Olen L. Burkey of Ripley, one daughter Renee Homehill, two sons Steven and Robert Van Knapp, all of Buffalo, New York. Funeral services will be private by the wishes of the family. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Buffalo, N.Y. Arrangements by the Mathews Funeral Home, 104 West Main St., Ripley, New York.
