Clayton M. "Sonny" Wickham Jr., 75, of Dunkirk died unexpectedly Tuesday morning (Nov. 13, 2012) at Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk.
He was born April 15, 1937 in Warren, Pa., the son of the late Clayton M. Wickham and Esther (Collins) Wickham Banks.
A resident of Dunkirk for most of his life, Mr. Wickham had been employed as a steelworker at AL-Tech Specialty Steel in Dunkirk for 35 years.

An avid Cleveland Indians fan, he was a member of the NYPENN Wahoo Club. He also belonged to the
Southern Tier Bills Boosters and the First Ward Falcon Club.
Survivors include his wife, Roberta (Carter) Wickham, whom he married July 7, 1975; two sons, Clayton (Debbie) Wickham III and Randall Lee (Judy) Wickham, both of Panama City, Fla.; two daughters, Esther (Michael) Luce of Idaho Springs, Colo., and Brenda (Anthony) Orazio of Bemus Point; two sisters, Judy (Doug) Stanbro of Silver Creek and Esther (Frank) Conti of Dunkirk; one brother, Terry Wickham of Dunkirk; 19 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Michael Shields.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home. The Rev. Jeffrey Wentz will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Thursday from
12 noon to 2 p.m., two hours prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the East Town Fire Hall or a charity of one's choice.
