The new water tank being constructed on Willowbrook Avenue as part of a consent order the city of Dunkirk is under will be four times larger than the old one it is replacing. The old tank held up to 500,000 gallons of water while the new tank is being built to hold 2 million gallons of water. Caldwell Tank Co. started work on the $2,653,000 tank project in April.
